Fun Facts About Star Wars

The 1977 movie, Star Wars, was the brainchild of Gary Kurtz and George Lucas in 1971. They wanted to create a “space opera” based on their childhood heroes Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers. The sci-fi movie was originally geared at 14- and 15-year-olds, but gained mass appeal.
