Fun Facts About Elmo

The furry red monster first appeared as a baby monster on Sesame Street in 1972. But his popularity took off in the mid-1980s when Kevin Clash developed Elmo’s falsetto voice and contagious giggle. Elmo’s favorite food is wasabi, which prevents him from having eyelids.
